Following our initial work with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on the Medicaid Data Collection Tool (MDCT), Coforma is honored to provide additional comprehensive IT support services to assist with the design, development, and implementation of applications that collect data relating to state Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). With this new opportunity, Coforma will also provide operations and maintenance, as well as new feature work on the CMS tool suite.
Making people’s jobs easier by applying human-centered design and development enables government to deliver better services to the public. Coforma’s commitment to centering people’s needs as we help our CMS partners advance progress on their data collection applications for state administrators hinges on that connection between employee experience and customer experience.
The project, awarded for over $4 million in value for one year, is an 8(a) set-aside contract. Coforma will be joined by Aquia as subcontractors supporting the effort.
“We’re grateful for this opportunity to continue developing MDCT applications that focus the needs of CMS personnel and improve their experience using an iterative, human-centered approach. Enabling CMS to further advance their programmatic work is not just an opportunity for Coforma—it’s a win for government and for those who rely on critical services provided through CMS programs,” said Eduardo Ortiz, CEO of Coforma.
Coforma’s previous work with CMS has included human-centered design, research, UX design, and engineering across seven workstreams related to the Consolidated Appropriations Act, Affordable Care Act, and Medical Bill Rights.
