We’re honored to leverage our human-centered approach to support the VA’s mission to help Veteran communities live happier and healthier lives.
Award Detail
Coforma has been awarded a two-year prime contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of the Chief Technology Office (OCTO) to improve Veterans’ access to services and information by supporting the efforts of the VA’s Centralized Content, Accessibility, and Information Architecture Team.
The project, awarded for over $7M in potential value, is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside contract on the VA Customer Experience, DevOps, Agile Releases (CEDAR) IDIQ. Coforma began work on the project in December and is supported by Bloomworks, Oddball, and So Company as subcontractors on the effort.
Team Coforma will work collaboratively with VA to migrate, adapt, and develop content for the modernized VA.gov experience and other associated products. The information architecture development will ensure a clear and consistent organizational structure of VA.gov for Veterans and their family members to promote understanding, accessibility, and management of their VA benefits and services. The Team will also collaborate with accessibility specialists across all VA.gov product teams to foster an impactful accessibility approach and culture.
“Clear, well-organized, and accessible content improves the ease with which Veteran communities access critical information and care. Coforma is honored to help boost the VA’s customer service delivery by applying our human-centered approach to content design, information architecture, and product accessibility,” said Eduardo Ortiz, CEO and Founding Co-owner at Coforma.
Coforma has previously supported the VA by building applications on the VA’s Clinical Decision Support (CDS) platform and integrating them with varying electronic health record (EHR) systems to improve clinical outcomes for Veterans, including completing a Lung Cancer Screening tool and pilot rollout to key facilities.
