Simplifying Application and Claims Processes for Veterans and VA Staff

Team Coforma will adopt a human-centered approach to improving digital forms on VA.gov so Veterans can seamlessly apply for benefits online and VA staff can accurately process their claims.

Coforma has been awarded a new task order through the SPRUCE IDIQ to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Lifestage Benefits Crew. We’re honored to partner with industry-leading firms Ad Hoc, Oddcore (an Oddball + Wilcore Technologies joint venture), and Aquia Nava II (an Aquia + Nava joint venture) on this effort to improve the digital benefits experience for Veterans and VA staff.

Over the next year, Team Coforma will maintain, enhance, and expand digitized VA forms and their related features on VA.gov. We’ll focus on streamlining how Veterans and their families find, understand, and apply for benefits online while enabling VA employees to process digitally submitted claims more efficiently.

In close partnership with Veterans, caregivers, their families, VA adjudication staff, and others, we’ll develop solutions to:

  • Eliminate burden and simplify complexity to make the application and claims process easier and more intuitive for Veterans,
  • Build trust through transparency, reliability, and clear digital communication practices so Veterans feel informed and confident,
  • Leverage structured data to improve information flows, streamline processes, and ensure accurate claim processing for VA staff, and
  • Establish consistency and interoperability across all user-facing platforms, from websites to mobile apps, as well as internal-facing VA tools.

This work builds on Coforma’s previous success supporting digital modernization efforts at VA on projects such as the Benefits Tools Crew. We’re honored to continue working hand-in-hand with VA to improve VA.gov and the process of obtaining benefits for Veterans.
